  • byDr Harishchandra Gandabhai Mistry, GP

I have known Mr Ferran locally, he has been approachable by both phone and emails for urgent advise regarding patient management. He is also an excellent lecturer and teaches orthopedic topics in a readily understandable way for GPs. He also gives very good clinical opinion on referred patients. It is refreshing in the modern NHS that a young consultant is so readily accessible for seamless patient care.

  • byMr Huub Habets, Physiotherapist

Mr Nick Ferran has a good work ethic and a clarity of communication. He just does an excellent job. He very often sends people for conservative rehabilitation before they will do anything invasive, like a surgery, which I highly recommend in a specialist.

  • byMr Sam Wilde, Physiotherapist

Mr Nick Ferran is someone I work closely with, rehabilitating his patients after surgery. I would highly recommend him.

  • by Dr Rony Isaias Berrebi, Pain Medicine Specialist

He is truly the best shoulder & elbow surgeon. He is very safe and explains all the procedures & post-operative care in details. He's also very cautious with who he chooses to operate on, and always tries a conservative management first. He is available and answers promptly to all the requests & questions. His 'awake' surgery approach, allowed by carefully chosen anaesthetists, is a must and gold standard for upper limb surgery. He's one of the few London surgeon to offer that kind of treatment.

In terms of patients who come with shoulder conditions, they tend to struggle with pain or stiffness, difficulty laying on their shoulders, or sometimes weakness or inability to lift their arm.

In terms of elbow conditions, patients can often come with problems such as pain around the elbow, clicking or stiffness and sometimes pins and needles in the hands.

  • What are the treatments that you're able to offer your patients?

In clinic, we're able to offer steroid injections around the shoulder where necessary.
