    About Mr Ahmed Ibrahim

    Mr Ahmed Ibrahim is a consultant spinal neurosurgeon specialising in spinal care. His special interests are in back and leg pain, slipped disc, sciatica, infection, spinal tumour, spinal trauma, and facial pain. Mr Ibrahim has an advanced minimally invasive spinal practice based at Queens and the London Bridge Hospitals.

    Mr Ibrahim received his medical training (MBBS) at St. Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in London, UK. He went on to specialise in neurosurgery in the highly sought-after North London neurosurgical training programme. He then completed an AO fellowship in spinal surgery under Prof Michael G. Fehlings, MD, at Toronto Western Hospital.

    Mr Ibrahim received multiple awards for his clinical and basic research in spinal conditions including HCA International Foundation’s Fellowship Award, the Crockard International Fellowship by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS)/Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves. He also won best resident/fellow paper by the Cervical Spine Research Society - North America in 2013-14 and best paper in AO-North America spinal meeting. In light of his achievements, Mr Ibrahim was selected as one of 2 candidates representing the European region for a Cervical Spine Research Society sponsored travelling fellowship to visit several centres in the USA.

    Mr Ibrahim also has an active academic practise and has gained a PhD in the field of regenerative medicine from UCL. He is currently a Principal Investigator researching the use of stem cells in the treatment of spinal cord injury and neurological dysfunction based at UCL.

    Mr Ibrahim is also a keen educator and is the current assigned educational supervisor for senior neurosurgical trainees in North Thames training programme.
