    In 2013, Mr Christopher Steer was included in the Tatler Doctors Guide as one of the best gynaecologists in the UK. He has close to two decades of experience in In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI). He practices at a number of highly regarded BMI hospitals including The Sloane Hospital and Chelsfield Park Hospital. He pioneered day case vaginal hysterectomies and, apart from minimal access surgery (including the day-case keyhole surgery removal of fibroids), he has interests in endometrial ablation, vaginal repairs and the treatment of endometriosis and pelvic adhesions. He is dedicated to providing holistic care and aims to address the medical, emotional and environmental aspects of infertility.

    Mr Steer received his medical degree from Birmingham University. He then undertook postgraduate research training in gynaecological ultrasound & infertility at King's College London before completing his speciality clinical training at St George's and the Royal Free Hospital, London. During his training he gained invaluable experience working with Professor R. Edwards, the pioneer of IVF.

    Mr Steer is dedicated to teaching and has written over 25 publications and 10 book chapters throughout his career. He is also a Minimal Access Surgery trainer for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and one of only a few gynaecologists in Europe to have been awarded membership to the American Society of Reproductive Surgery.
