Mr Ian Winspur is a Consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon, who has interest in Hand Surgery and the management of complex Hand problems. He has a specialist interest in the Musician’s Hand and has helped many professional musicians to maintain comfortable. He is a specialist in the Hand conditions or post Hand trauma.
Mr Ian Winspur has fellowships in America and the UK. He has clinical practices in London and the West Coast of the ‘States. He did independent practices in Santa Barbara, California, and took a particular interest in hand injury in the workplace.
He was the lead of the Hand Unit at the King Edward VII Hospital, and director of the hand unit at the Devonshire Hospital, London. He currently practices at the Wellington Hospital, London, and the Princess Grace Hospital, London.
He is an acknowledged expert in medico-legal matters relating to hand conditions and hand injury. He is a member of both the British and American Societies for Surgery of the Hand, as well as the Society of Doctors in Law and the Medico-Legal Society. He is also member of Trustee of The British Association of Performing Arts Medicine and an Honorary, General Medical Council and the Royal College of Physicians.
He has authored and edited over 20 peer reviewed articles on subjects relating to Hand Surgery. He has expertise in hand surgery, upper limb surgery, wrist surgery and elbow surgery.
