    About Mr Paul Harnett

    Mr Harnett is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at King's College Hospital. He specialises in surgery of the pelvis, hip and knee. He is an expert in hip and knee replacements including revisions and sports trauma such as knee ligament surgery (ACL, PCL and meniscus tears). He also has considerable experience in dealing with major trauma and complex fracture surgery including acetabular reconstruction and open fractures.

    He graduated in medicine from the University of Bristol Medical School in 2002 and he also holds a BSc in sports medicine. In 2010, he acquired a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) and completed his specialist registrar training in trauma and orthopaedics on the Imperial College North West Thames rotation. He gained his sub-specialisations through a number of coveted fellowships in Vancouver (Canada), the Hospital for specialised Surgery in New York, the Elective Orthopaedic Centre in Epson and the Royal London Hospital.

    He is actively involved in research related to identifying enhancements to wound healing. He is a reviewer for many orthopaedic journals. Passionate about sharing his knowledge with the next generation, he is involved in the training of junior surgeons.
