Mr Ramon Niekrash is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the South London Healthcare NHS trust and is the clinical lead for the urology department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He has broad clinical expertise in urinary tract disorders, bladder cancer, stone disease, renal disease, prostate disease and urological oncology. This involves both benign and malignant conditions, and conditions as diverse as kidney stones, prostatic enlargement, infections of the prostate and incontinence. He also has an honorary appointment at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital where he was instrumental in developing cancer services as the leading consultant for urology cancer between 2002 and 2007.
Mr Niekrash received his initial training in Australia at the University of Melbourne and then worked in many of London's busiest hospitals. He is a member of the Australian Urological Association, British Medical Association, General Medical Council and fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Urology).
Mr Niekrash is an ardent advocate for patient rights, and has been outspoken on issues pertaining to patient safety and the quality of care. He always prioritises patient safety and provides a tailor-made and patient-centered service.
