Dr Angelica Attard works as a clinical psychologist in private practice in London. Angelica holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Birmingham. Angelica works with people from different cultural backgrounds who may experience stress, burnout, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, work-related issues, loss and bereavement, lack of satisfaction in life, adjustment to physical health problems, trauma, and psychosis.

Angelica takes an integrative approach to therapy using models that are evidence-based by the NICE guidelines and which include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), and Behavioural Family Intervention for Psychosis (FIp). She provides face to face and online therapy and can also offer therapy in Maltese.

In the private sector, Angelica has an interest in and extensive experience of working with professionals in the City of London from Financial, Legal, and Consulting sectors who are struggling with problems related to organisational pressures, stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, and relationships.

In the NHS Angelica specialised in working in Early Intervention Services with people with psychosis and schizophrenia as well as supporting family members, friends, and carers in their caregiving roles. Angelica chose to broaden her specialist focus to support mothers, fathers and carers with perinatal mental health problems such as postnatal anxiety, depression, loss of a child, and trauma during childbirth, and to help them develop strong bonds with their babies.

Angelica also has experience providing consultation and delivering supervision to trainee clinical psychologists and qualified psychologists. She delivers teaching, training, and workshops to mental health teams, students on psychology university courses, and staff teams in organisations.
