Mr Basim Matti is a Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon whose main interests in cosmetic plastic surgery are a facelift, rhinoplasty, breast surgery, and liposuction. Having performed more than 3000 facelifts and over 2500 rhinoplasties, he has rich and varied experience working with challenging cases of the nose and face surgery. His surgical experience also extends to breast augmentation and abdominoplasty.
Mr Matti carried out all his training from junior to senior registrar in the Plastic Surgery Centre in Sheffield, St Andrews Hospitals, Billericay, West Middlesex Hospital and Hammersmith, London. He was appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Charing Cross Hospital from 1998 to 2002. His cosmetic plastic surgery training was carried out with the world-renowned plastic surgeon, Mr. F V Nicolle; Mr Matti started with him as a fellow in aesthetic surgery and then a partner from the 1980s to 1990s.
Mr Matti is the United Kingdom ex-Secretary for ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and is a full member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) as well as the British Association of Plastic Surgeons. He was also a member of the BAAPS counsel.
