Mr Christopher Alywin is a consultant vascular surgeon with HCA Healthcare at The Lister Hospital and holds an NHS post at the renowned Imperial College Healthcare Trust. He has a wide range of experience treating peripheral artery disease, aortic aneurysms, carotid disease, and varicose veins. Additionally, a large portion of his NHS work is in trauma and emergency surgery.
Mr Alywin was awarded his medical degree from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1999. He completed an extensive training scheme across the North East Thames region, a trauma fellowship in Cape Town, South Africa, and a vascular fellowship at St Thomas' Hospital. Following this, he completed a fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in General Surgery and was appointed consultant in 2013.
Mr Alywin's areas of expertise include trauma surgery, varicose veins, peripheral artery disease, aortic aneurysm, and carotid disease. He is highly skilled in performing complex vascular procedures and is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to his patients.
