Dr Gosia Wamil, MD PhD MRCP FESC, is an Oxford-trained, internationally recognized Consultant Cardiologist. She practices at the prestigious Mayo Clinic Healthcare in London and the Manor Hospital in Oxford. Her clinical specialities include heart failure and the precise application of non-invasive cardiac imaging techniques, such as cardiovascular MRI, cardiac CT, and advanced echocardiography (including transoesophageal echocardiography, bubble echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, 3D echocardiography, and stress echo). She offers one-stop-shop clinics- a full clinical assessment, all required investigations, and a follow-up on the same day in the MCH in London.

Dr Wamil’s extensive expertise has been developed through years of dedicated practice and specialized training, with patients frequently seeking her second opinion. Between 2008 and 2017, Dr Wamil completed comprehensive cardiology training at Oxford University Hospitals, including fellowships in cardiovascular medicine, advanced cardiac imaging, heart failure, and cardiomyopathies. During this period, she earned internationally recognized accreditations in echocardiography, cardiac CT, and cardiac magnetic resonance, underscoring her commitment to excellence. Renowned for her cardiac MRI, CT, and advanced echocardiography expertise, Dr Wamil often integrates these techniques to transform the treatment of complex cardiovascular cases. As an active participant in the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, she is a distinguished Leaders of Tomorrow Programme member. This role involves organizing international teaching courses and setting standards for European cardiac imaging departments. Dr Wamil is also dedicated to education, imparting knowledge and expertise to medical students and junior doctors through various teaching platforms and programs.

In her clinical practice, Dr Wamil excels with a uniquely compelling, patient-centred, and holistic approach to medicine. Beyond hands-on training, she serves as an Honorary Senior Research Fellow in the Deep Medicine Department at the University of Oxford, contributing to groundbreaking research. As a member of the Diabetes Pharma Committee at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), she co-authored national guidelines for managing heart disease in people with diabetes.
