Prof. Alfredson did his PhD in Sports Medicine from Umeå University in 1997 and currently working as a Tendon Specialist & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Chancery Lane WC2A, Pure Sports Medicine London. His areas of clinical interest include tendon injuries, tendinopathy, foot and ankle, elbow, tendons, tendon and ligament and achilles, patella and elbow, and his research is focused on bone mass and articular cartilage. His sporting interests are snow sports and ice hockey.

Prof. Alfredson has published over 150 articles and has been invited as a keynote speaker at international conferences in more than 20 countries. He has published more than 100 original peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
