Mr Jonathan Adamthwaite is one of the UK's leading cosmetic and plastic surgeons. He has extensive experience in all aspects of aesthetic surgery with a special interest in breast and facial surgery. After graduating from Oxford University Medical School, he completed further medical training at University College London. He was awarded a position on the prestigious London Pan-Thames Plastic Surgery Training Scheme, gaining experience at renowned centres including the Royal Free Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Mr Adamthwaite completed additional specialist training in cosmetic surgery and breast surgery in the UK, Europe, and the USA. He was awarded a Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at the Wellington Hospital, where he trained with the UK's top cosmetic surgeons in the latest techniques. He also undertook a fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital in advanced breast surgery and breast reconstruction.
Currently, he serves as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and is the Head of Training for the Department of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was recently elected to the Plastic Surgery Council at the Royal Society of Medicine. Mr Adamthwaite has been published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals and has authored three book chapters on plastic surgery, including the best-selling book ""Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.""
His areas of expertise include breast augmentation, breast reduction, facelifts, rhinoplasty, and body contouring. He is also skilled in non-surgical facial treatments and the treatment of skin lesions. Mr Adamthwaite's dedication to his field is evident in his numerous awards, including the Ellison-Cliffe Fellowship and the HCA International Foundation Award. He has been practising since 2002 and continues to contribute significantly to the field of plastic and cosmetic surgery.
