Prof. Prasad is a distinguished Cardiologist at Imperial College London, specialising in heart failure, cardiomyopathy, ischemic heart disease, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Prof. Prasad completed his medical education at the University of Wales in Cardiff, earning a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (B.M.B.S.). He furthered his studies as a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. His medical training spans prestigious institutions in London and Geneva, where he honed his skills and knowledge in cardiology.

At the National Heart and Lung Institute, part of Imperial College London, Prof. Prasad leads a large cardiovascular research group that has published more than 200 articles in renowned journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet, JAMA, and Nature. His research primarily focuses on understanding the causes and risk stratification of heart failure. He is also a committed educator and frequent speaker at national and international meetings.

Prof. Prasad has contributed chapters on MRI in heart failure in several books, including the ESC Textbook of Cardiovascular Medicine. He holds professional memberships as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, the European Society of Cardiology, and the American College of Cardiology.
