Mr Talaat Al-Atassi is a consultant specialising in orthopaedic surgery, with a primary focus on shoulder, upper limb, and trauma conditions. He currently works at the Salford Royal Foundation NHS Trust and serves as an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Manchester.

Mr Al-Atassi qualified in medicine in 1991 from the University of Damascus. He subsequently completed both basic and higher surgical training, along with numerous fellowships in trauma and shoulder surgery. His practice encompasses a wide range of upper limb conditions, including shoulder instability, frozen shoulder, tennis and golfer's elbow, trauma, and rotator cuff tears. He is highly experienced in treating these conditions through arthroscopic surgery, shoulder replacement, peripheral nerve decompression, and fracture fixation.

Mr Al-Atassi's areas of expertise include shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder replacement, rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilisation, and fracture fixation surgery. He is adept at managing conditions such as rotator cuff injury, shoulder pain, elbow dislocation, fractures, sports injuries, frozen shoulder, shoulder instability, shoulder tendinopathy, golfer's elbow, and tennis elbow.
