Cervical screening has been shown to be extremely effective in the early detection of abnormalities and where prognosis is good if treated promptly. The nurse-led smear clinic is part of The Portland Hospital’s extensive women’s health services where a patient can be referred either by their GP for a smear test or get in touch to make an appointment. The clinic is held twice a week between 8am and 8pm at 212 Great Portland Street.
