About us

The Cardiac Genetics Clinic at London Bridge Hospital combines cardiac genetic screening and treatment for all forms of inherited cardiovascular disease, such as cardiomyopathies, inherited arrhythmias, sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SADS) and aortic disease, among others. Genetic mutations passed down through families can result in inherited cardiovascular disease and can present at any age, regardless of the fitness level of the individual. Left undetected or untreated, these cardiovascular disorders tend to lead to significant cardiac problems.

The Cardiac Genetics Clinic uses sophisticated genetic testing in its state-of-the-art research laboratories to try and identify the faulty gene, if any, that's causing an inherited cardiac condition. The clinic's team of specialists can then establish a full diagnosis and draw up a personalised treatment plan.
