Dr Abhi Lall is a Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician practicing at the Portland Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. He qualified in Medicine with a Distinction from the University of London in 1994, and prior to this he had completed a BSc in Biochemistry. After graduating from Medicine, he completed his postgraduate training at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals. This allowed him to develop his skills, whilst gaining experience in a clinical environment. Furthermore, he completed training in Neonatal Medicine at a number of hospitals to enhance his interest in this field.
Dr Lall was first appointed Consultant at King's College Hospital in 2004 where he worked for 15 years. He also began working for The Portland Hospital from 2016, and then for Great Ormond Street Hospital since 2019. His clinical interests include feeding problems in neonates, diarrhoea, skin rashes, cough, vomiting, constipation, and acid reflux. His research interest includes perinatal immunology and he has presented his research at several conferences, as well as published his research in many journals.
He has held memberships with the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. More impressively, he has completed an MSc in Clinical Paediatrics in 1999 and a fellowship in 2008. Dr Lall is proficient in procedures such as gastroscopy and endoscopy. He treats conditions including acid reflux, weight gain issues, diarrhoea, constipation, hand, foot and mouth disease, skin rashes, cough, and feeding problems.
