Mr. Ahmed Latif is a highly accomplished orthopaedic surgeon with a wealth of experience and qualifications from prestigious institutions. He obtained his Bachelor in Medicine, Bachelor in Surgery (MB BCHir) from Cambridge University, followed by a Bachelor in Science in experimental pathology, where he was awarded the National Wolfson Foundation Scholarship.
Mr. Latif underwent core surgical training in London before specialising in orthopaedic surgery within the South East Thames London rotation. His dedication and expertise earned him the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCS Ortho).
As a senior fellow at Guy’s and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, he focused on foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. In recognition of his exceptional skills, he was appointed as an NHS consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the Trust in 2016.
Mr. Latif holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Orthopaedics from the University of London, which he earned through extensive research conducted in the UK and Europe between 2003 and 2005. His commitment to advancing the field of orthopaedics was recognised when he received the Best Research Paper, 2nd prize at the British Orthopaedic Association annual congress in 2008.
Passionate about education, Mr. Latif enjoys training orthopaedic registrars on the London South East orthopaedic training rotation. Furthermore, he plays a key role in training Foot and Ankle fellows, contributing to one of the UK’s prestigious National fellowships recognised by the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) at Guy’s hospital.
His dedication to advancing orthopaedic knowledge is evident through his regular presentations at national and international meetings, as well as his publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. With his expertise, qualifications, and commitment to education and research, Mr. Ahmed Latif continues to make significant contributions to the field of orthopaedic surgery.
