Dr Alexandra Riding is a Consultant Nephrologist specialising in the diagnosis and management of kidney disease and general medical conditions. She practises in London and sees patients privately at The Physicians’ Clinic. She has extensive experience in treating a wide range of renal conditions, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, hypertension and renal transplantation.

Dr Riding graduated with a BSc in Medical Sciences from the University of St Andrews before completing her medical degree (MB BChir) at the University of Cambridge. She undertook postgraduate training across the London and East Anglian Deaneries, achieving dual accreditation in nephrology and general internal medicine. She was also awarded a PhD from the University of Cambridge for her research into immune mechanisms within the renal system.

Her clinical practice includes both inpatient and outpatient care, with specialist clinics in acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease and hypertension. She has a particular interest in renal disorders in pregnancy, leading specialist services in this area and providing expert care for complex cases.
