Dr Amara Ezeonyeji is a highly experienced consultant rheumatologist at St George's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where she has been serving since 2018. She qualified in Medicine from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2002 and also holds an intercalated honours degree in biomedical science. Dr Ezeonyeji completed her specialist training in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine at University College Hospital and The Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts.

Dr Ezeonyeji's areas of expertise include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, soft tissue rheumatic diseases, crystal arthritis, joint hypermobility, and chronic pain syndromes. She is also the departmental clinical governance lead at St George's Hospital.

In addition to her clinical roles, Dr Ezeonyeji is actively involved in clinical research, clinical audits, and clinical trials. She holds an MD research degree from University College London, where she investigated the role of inflammatory cytokines in the pathogenesis of psoriatic arthritis.

Outside of her professional commitments, Dr Ezeonyeji enjoys travelling and studying Spanish language and culture. Her dedication to both her patients and her field makes her a respected figure in the medical community.
