Amarnath Bhide is currently Professor and Consultant in Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics at St. George’s Hospital and City-St. George’s, University of London, United Kingdom
He is the Editor-in-Chief of Acta Obstetricia Gynecologica Scandinavica (AOGS) and editorial board member of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.


His research interests are in placental physiology and pathology, hypoxaemia and fetal cardiac function. His clinical interests are in invasive prenatal diagnosis and therapy, multiple pregnancy, antenatal fetal monitoring and problems with fetal growth.

Amar is proficient in a range of medical tests and treatments, including: - Prenatal diagnosis and therapy, Ultrasound imaging, complex fetal abnormalities, multiple pregnancy and its complications.

Professor Bhide has been serving in his current roles since his appointment, bringing extensive expertise and dedication to his field.
