Mr Amit Rao is Clinical Director and Lead Physiotherapist at Physical Wellness and provides clinics at the Harborne Hospital in Birmingham. His specialist interests include musculoskeletal physiotherapy, arthritis management, manual therapy, injection therapy and sports injury rehabilitation.

He has worked across NHS, BUPA, orthopaedic, community rehabilitation, care home and sports physiotherapy settings. His practice includes acute injuries, persistent musculoskeletal conditions and complex rehabilitation needs.

Mr Rao began his physiotherapy career in 2002 and holds master's-level qualifications in physiotherapy and injection therapy. He is also a verified First Contact Physiotherapist in primary care, providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment at an early stage of care.

His wider clinical interests include community rehabilitation, older people's care and First Contact Physiotherapy. He works with patients to understand their symptoms, daily activities and recovery goals when planning treatment.
