Mr Anand Pillai is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon based in Cheshire, UK. He specialises in Foot and Ankle Surgery, with a particular focus on sports injuries, arthritis, rheumatoid disease, deformity and aesthetic surgery, arthroscopic surgery, ankle and toe joint replacement surgery, and tendon surgery.

Mr Pillai began his specialist training in Orthopaedic and Foot Surgery in West Scotland after graduating. He further honed his skills through sub-specialist fellowships in both Australia and the UK. During his time in Australia, he collaborated with surgeons from SportsMed SA, Mater Hospital Sydney, and Charles Gardiner Hospital in Perth. He was also awarded a fellowship in Ilizarov techniques and limb deformity correction at the prestigious Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre in Kurgan, Siberia.

In recognition of his contributions to the field, Mr Pillai has held honorary academic positions with the University of Adelaide and the University of Dundee. He is currently a Senior Clinical Lecturer at both the University of Manchester and the University of Salford, and has been appointed a visiting Senior Lecturer at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur.

Mr Pillai has extensive experience working with elite athletes, including members of Team GB during the Olympic and Commonwealth Games, UFC fighters, and professional footballers. He is a member of the British, American, and European Foot & Ankle Societies.

Since his appointment, Mr Pillai has been dedicated to advancing the field of orthopaedic surgery. His areas of expertise include minimally invasive surgery, tendon repair, arthroscopy, Cartiva toe replacement, shock wave therapy, platelet-rich plasma injection, ankle replacement, and cartilage repair surgery. He also treats conditions such as diabetic foot issues, nail problems, and provides physiotherapy and orthotics.
