Dr Anthony Ordman is a highly experienced Consultant in Pain Medicine, specialising in the management of chronic pain conditions. He has dedicated over 25 years to helping patients manage and alleviate their pain. Dr Ordman is currently the Lead Consultant of the Pain Functional Restoration Programme at the Wellington Hospital, where he works in his Private Pain Medicine Practice.
Dr Ordman founded the Royal Free’s multidisciplinary pain management clinic in 1997 and has since developed it into a leading centre for pain management. He is a Past President-Elect of the Pain Section of the Royal Society of Medicine and serves as a Senior Honorary Consultant in Pain Medicine to the Royal Society of Musicians. Additionally, he is a senior doctor at the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM).
Dr Ordman’s areas of expertise include spinal or neck pain, nerve pain, pain after surgery or trauma, cancer-related pain, complex regional pain syndrome, shingles pain, trigeminal neuralgia, persistent sciatica after spinal surgery, pelvic pain, pancreatic pain, musculoskeletal pain, pain related to hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, fibromyalgia, rheumatology and arthritis pain, and unexplained pains.
He is known for his patient-centred approach, giving ample time to understand each patient’s unique pain experience and tailoring treatments to their specific needs. Dr Ordman collaborates closely with specialist physiotherapists and health psychologists to provide comprehensive care. He is also one of the UK’s most experienced prescribers of specialist pain medicines and has considerable expertise in interventional procedures for pain management.
