Prof. Tony Narula is a distinguished otorhinolaryngologist with a career spanning over three decades. He qualified from Cambridge in 1979 and subsequently trained in ENT in London and Nottingham. In 1989, he was appointed as a consultant in Leicester, marking the beginning of his illustrious career.

Prof. Narula served as a consultant otorhinolaryngologist at several prestigious hospitals, including St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, Charing Cross Hospital, and Hammersmith Hospital. He also held honorary consultant positions at Chelsea & Westminster and Royal Brompton Hospitals. He took early retirement in December 2014 but continues to contribute significantly to the field.

As one of the founders and the current chairman of the Board of Governors of the Global Tracheostomy Collaborative, Prof. Narula has made substantial contributions to tracheostomy care and the quality of life after paediatric ENT surgery. His extensive publications in these areas underscore his expertise and commitment to advancing medical knowledge.

In addition to his clinical work, Prof. Narula is a dedicated educator. He teaches extensively both in the UK and abroad and has been an Honorary Visiting Prof. at Middlesex University since 2003. At Middlesex University, he plays a pivotal role in running the Diploma in ENT course for general practitioners.

Prof. Narula's main clinical interests lie in paediatric ENT and ear/hearing disorders. His expertise encompasses a wide range of conditions and procedures, including otology, rhinology, laryngology, and paediatric ENT.

In 2004, Prof. Narula was elected to the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons, where he served as the Honorary Treasurer. He also held the esteemed position of President of ENT UK from 2015 to 2017.
