Dr Arti Mahto is a consultant rheumatologist based at London Bridge Hospital. She specialises in early inflammatory arthritis, biologic treatment, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr Mahto obtained her medical qualifications from the University of Wales in 2007 and completed her specialist training at several renowned hospitals in London.
Dr Mahto holds a PhD, with her research focusing on the role of B-cells within the synovium and the response to rituximab therapy. In addition to her expertise in rheumatology, she is also qualified in internal medicine, which allows her to provide an integrated approach to patient care.
Throughout her career, Dr Mahto has led a dedicated fibromyalgia project at Whipps Cross Hospital and has been actively involved in long Covid clinics at King's College Hospital. Her commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care is evident in her work, and she is particularly recognised for her ability to use musculoskeletal ultrasound to diagnose inflammatory conditions and fibromyalgia.
Dr Mahto has a passion for teaching and has been actively involved in local patient groups. She is dedicated to delivering comprehensive care and improving patient outcomes through her extensive knowledge and expertise in rheumatology.
