Dr Avinash Sharma is a consultant physician specialising in geriatric medicine. He is based at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and also works at several private practices in London. Dr Sharma has a clinical interest in movement disorders, Parkinson's disease, and frailty.

After graduating from NSCB Medical College in India in 1994, Dr Sharma worked in New Delhi for several years before relocating to the UK. In 2003, he attained membership with the Royal College of Surgeons and completed his specialist training in general and geriatric medicine in NW Thames (London Deanery). He consulted at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital before being appointed to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Dr Sharma is passionate about the training of medical students and junior doctors. He is an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire and has co-authored various books to aid with MRCP exam preparation. Additionally, he served as an RCP college tutor for several years.

Dr Sharma's areas of expertise include memory clinic, rehabilitation, stroke care, dementia, movement disorders, and Parkinson's disease. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to his patients and advancing the field of geriatric medicine through education and clinical practice.
