About Mr Benjamin Lamb
Benjamin Lamb is a Consultant Urological and Robotic Surgeon at the Department of Urology, Cambridge University. Ben studied medicine in Cambridge and London, subsequently completing his specialist urological training in hospitals across the south-east of England. He is proficient in general urology and has undergone sub-speciality training in bladder, prostate, and kidney cancers. Additionally, Ben is fellowship-trained in robotic surgery and has performed over 300 robotic operations. His areas of expertise include a wide range of urological procedures and treatments. These encompass circumcision, kidney X-ray (retrograde pyelogram), prostate surgery, vasectomy, bladder biopsy, bladder tumour resection (TURBT), excision of the epididymal cyst, flexible cystoscopy, hydrocoele repair, radical orchidectomy, rigid cystoscopy, and robotic radical prostatectomy, including Retzius Sparing Radical Prostatectomy. Ben is particularly interested in the treatment of prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and testicular cancer. He is skilled in performing robotic prostatectomy (RARP), Retzius sparing robotic radical prostatectomy, and nerve-sparing prostatectomy. His expertise also extends to PSA testing, managing haematuria (blood in the urine), haematospermia (blood in the semen), testicular lumps, testicular pain, lower urinary tract symptoms, and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
