Dr Bharath Kumar Cheripelli is a consultant neurologist with over 25 years of experience, practising at HCA UK at The Wilmslow Hospital and at the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences based at Salford Royal Hospital. He completed his medical degree in India in 2003, followed by postgraduate training in multiple locations across the UK. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2009 and began specialist neurology training in Aberdeen the same year. In 2012, he moved to Glasgow to undertake an MD in clinical research on stroke at the University of Glasgow. He completed his neurology training in 2016 and has held a full-time NHS consultant role in Salford since February 2017.

He provides comprehensive general neurology care, with particular expertise in headaches, epilepsy, tremors, Parkinson’s disease, dizziness, balance disorders, multiple sclerosis, stroke, neuropathies, memory problems, spinal and muscle disorders, and functional neurological conditions. He also offers acute in-reach neurology services and plays a key role in hyperacute stroke care, with a special interest in vascular neurology.

He is widely respected by both patients and colleagues across primary and secondary care. Alongside his clinical work, he supervises medical students and trainee doctors, contributes to research within the comprehensive stroke centre, and is committed to both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and mentorship.
