About Dr Bhuvan Kishore
Dr Bhuvan Kishore is a consultant haematologist who specialises in stem cell transplantation and haematological malignancies. He is based at The Harborne Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK, and holds NHS consultant roles at Queen Elizabeth University Hospitals Birmingham including Heartlands and Solihull hospitals. Dr Kishore treats conditions including multiple myeloma, lymphoma, acute and chronic leukaemia, polycythaemia, amyloidosis, anaemia, thrombocytopenia, haemoglobinopathies such as sickle cell and thalassaemia, and thrombotic disorders. He regularly performs diagnostic bone marrow tests and biopsies and oversees both autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplants.
He manages a busy haematology service, treating approximately 50 to 75 outpatients and 20 inpatients each week, and provides care at The Harborne Hospital and Spire Hospitals.
Dr Kishore is lead investigator on more than six clinical trials through the UHB and MIDRU research unit, with current research focused on multiple myeloma. He leads the haematology educational portfolio at Heartlands Hospital, delivering CPD accredited training, mentoring registrars as a named clinical supervisor, and managing day unit services at Heartlands and Good Hope He offers prompt access to care, providing consultations within 24 to 48 hours and enabling eligible patients to join NHS and private clinical trials, particularly for myeloma and bone marrow transplant pathways. He speaks English, Punjabi, Urdu and Bengali, and his professional roles include service leadership in education, audit and day unit care.
