    By blending the highest standards of General Practice with coaching techniques, Dr Gorney helps people uncover greater insight about their health. Her focus is on empowering each patient to make their own unique choices about their health in a way that makes most sense to them. Dr Gorney balances rigorous clinical accuracy with a holistic approach and helps her patients better understand the interplay between physical and emotional wellbeing.

    Dr Gorney graduated with a 1st class degree from Trinity College, Cambridge University before completing her clinical training at The Royal Free & University College London Hospitals. She was awarded a Trinity College Research Scholarship & Senior Scholarship at the end of her undergraduate training and was awarded a Distinction in her final clinical exams.

    After qualifying, Dr Gorney undertook further medical training at London teaching hospitals, first in Acute Medicine (A&E, Intensive Care) and later in speciality training for General practice at UCLH. During this time she successfully became a member of the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of GPs.

    She has also completed Diplomas in “Sexual & Reproductive Health” and “Tropical Medicine and Hygiene”, the latter informing her voluntary work undertaken in Sub Saharan Africa.

    Aside from her medical qualifications, Dr Gorney has also trained to be an accredited Relational Dynamics Coach. It is her coaching skills that set her apart from other GPs. Dr Gorney is passionate about empowering her patients to find their own unique ways forward that makes the most sense to them, as well as helping her patients unlock any limiting thinking that's getting in the way of the desired change. She is committed to ensuring that each individual she works alongside has full agency in their health choices.

    Dr Gorney has spent the last 17 years practising medicine in inner city London. Her experience of more than 90,000 patient consultations has enabled her to develop an intuitive, pragmatic & holistic approach that can help open new possibility & fresh patterns of thinking & behaviour.

    Outside of her clinical work, Dr Gorney has been a GP Appraiser since 2016 and has been deeply committed to introducing new ways to bring coaching skills into widespread medical practice. She delivers “Introduction to Coaching” workshops and has pioneered a two-day course on Coaching and Advanced Communication skills for doctors and other health professionals.
