Dr Bryan Sheinman is a highly respected Consultant Chest Physician with a distinguished career in respiratory medicine. He has been an integral part of the Wellington Hospital Respiratory Unit, where he served as Vice Chairman. At the North Middlesex Hospital, Dr Sheinman has made significant contributions as the lead Clinician for Asthma and Allergies, overseeing the Asthma and Allergy service, and as the Clinical Lead for Outpatient Services.
In his role as Lead Clinician for Bronchoscopy, Dr Sheinman introduced and established the advanced bronchoscopic technique of Endobronchial Ultrasound-Assisted Transbronchial Node Aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) at the North Middlesex Hospital. This innovative procedure has greatly enhanced the hospital's diagnostic capabilities.
Dr Sheinman also pioneered a specialist clinic dedicated to the management of Persistent Cough at the North Middlesex Hospital, providing targeted care for patients with this challenging condition.
In addition to his clinical roles, Dr Sheinman is an esteemed lecturer, sharing his expertise with General Practitioners. He represents the Royal College of Physicians of London on Consultant Medical Appointment Committees in Respiratory Medicine. His outstanding contributions to the field have been recognised with an NHS Clinical Excellence Award by the North Middlesex Hospital University Trust.
