Dr Charlotte Frise is a Consultant Obstetric Physician based at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital in London. She is also the Lead Consultant Obstetric Physician for the NW London Maternal Medicine Network.

Dr Frise completed her pre-clinical training at Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge, where she achieved First class honours. She then moved to the University of Oxford for her clinical training. Remaining in Oxford as a junior doctor, she completed her training in General (Internal) Medicine. Dr Frise developed a specialist interest in Obstetric Medicine, completing additional training at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital. She worked as a consultant in General Medicine and Obstetric Medicine at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for seven years before starting her current post.

Dr Frise has published numerous book chapters and articles. She has authored a series of electronic learning modules for Medical Problems in Pregnancy and written the popular textbook “Obstetric Medicine” in the Oxford Specialist Handbooks of Obstetrics and Gynaecology series, published by Oxford University Press in July 2020. In January 2023, “Oxford Case Histories in Obstetric Medicine” was also published by Oxford University Press. In 2018, she was appointed as co-Editor-in-Chief of the international journal “Obstetric Medicine: the Medicine of Pregnancy.”

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Frise is a Senior College Lecturer in Clinical Medicine at Keble College, University of Oxford. She offers special study modules in Obstetric Medicine for final year students. Dr Frise is an enthusiastic teacher of junior doctors preparing for the clinical part of the membership examinations of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP PACES) and has played a key role in PACES teaching in Oxford for many years. She is also a PACES examiner for the Royal College of Physicians.

Dr Frise's areas of expertise include obstetric medicine, general internal medicine, and medical education. She is particularly interested in medical problems in pregnancy and has made significant contributions to the field through her academic work and teaching. She was appointed to her current role in 2018.
