Dr Chrissie Yu is a Consultant Obstetrician and an expert in Maternal and Foetal Medicine, currently serving within the London North West Healthcare Trust. She also provides private consultations at the Portland Hospital in London. Dr Yu is highly experienced in all aspects of maternal medicine and obstetrics, with a specific interest in medical disorders affecting both mother and baby, as well as high-risk pregnancies.

Dr Yu graduated from the University of London in 1994 with a degree in medicine. She then pursued specialist training in gynaecology and obstetrics, gaining invaluable experience over her 20-year career as a consultant. In 2016, she completed a fellowship with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, further solidifying her expertise in the field.

Dr Yu is proficient in performing complex invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. She offers comprehensive care to women throughout their reproductive lives, from early teenage years to menopause and beyond. Her daily responsibilities include performing cervical smears, conducting pelvic scans, providing sexual health advice, and offering contraception consultations.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Yu is an active member of the research community, with extensive publications on pre-eclampsia. She was awarded an MD for her outstanding research work during her training at the University of London.
