Mr Bentley is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon based in London. He specialises in cataract and squint treatment for both adults and children. He qualified from Kings College School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1988 and Aston University in 1980.

Mr Bentley is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College School of Medicine and a Visiting Professor at Middlesex University. He currently serves as the Vice President of The Royal Society of Medicine section of Ophthalmology. Additionally, he is a member of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists Microsurgical Skills and Paediatric Ophthalmology HST Faculties.

Professor Bentley has published extensively on various aspects of ophthalmology, with a particular focus on squint and cataract treatment. He is also an examiner for several prestigious institutions, including The City University, Imperial College London, Middlesex University, and the British College of Optometrists.

His areas of expertise include cataract surgery and eye muscle (squint) surgery. He treats conditions such as cataracts, squint, and strabismus. Mr Bentley has been dedicated to advancing the field of ophthalmology since his appointment and continues to contribute significantly to both clinical practice and academic research.
