Mr Cyrus Kerawala is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon based at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He has a specialist interest in head and neck cancer, salivary gland disease, and facial skin cancer. He also has extensive experience in trans-oral robotic surgery and facial plastic surgery.

Mr Kerawala graduated with honours degrees in both Medicine and Dentistry from the University of London. During his studies, he was awarded 17 undergraduate prizes. Following training in general surgery and neurosurgery, he spent five years specialising in head and neck surgery in the North East of England. In 1998, he passed the Intercollegiate Examination in Maxillofacial Surgery and has been on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council since August 1999. He worked as a Consultant at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford and North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke for several years before being appointed to the Head and Neck Unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital in 2008.

Mr Kerawala is actively involved in research and has written numerous book chapters and authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications. In 2001, he carried out the first trans-oral robotic resection of a tumour in the UK. In the same year, he was featured in The Times newspaper as one of Britain's 50 top surgeons.

Mr Kerawala's areas of expertise include the removal of impacted or infected wisdom teeth, microvascular reconstruction, trans-oral robotic surgery (TORS), and temporomandibular joint surgery. He treats a range of conditions such as cutaneous malignancy, head and neck cancer, osteoradionecrosis, salivary gland disorders, and temporomandibular jaw joint pain and clicking.

Since his appointment in 2008, Mr Kerawala has been dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients at the Royal Marsden Hospital, combining his extensive clinical experience with a commitment to ongoing research and innovation in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
