Place of primary qualification: University of London

Mr Dan Shaerf is a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Hand & Wrist Surgery.

His NHS practice is at the excellent London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. He graduated from the prestigious Royal Free & University College London Medical School in 2005 with Merit and undertook a BSc in Orthopaedic Science at the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Institute of Orthopaedics. During his core surgical rotation, he was ranked in the top 10% across all of London 4 times consecutively, achieving the highest mark possible in 2009. After completing his specialist training on the highly sought-after North West London (Imperial) Rotation, he underwent 3 further very prestigious Hand & Wrist fellowships at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, and Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals; thus honing his remarkable skills even further.

Mr Shaerf is an expert in disorders and injuries of the hand and wrist. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and he has presented at international meetings on topics related to hand and wrist surgery as well as orthopaedics in general. He has set up a successful hand surgery service out of Ealing Hospital in West London and is particularly interested in thumb and wrist arthritis, using state-of-the-art joint replacement technology.

Mr. Shaerf is an experienced and well-qualified surgeon who regularly attends specialist conferences and courses to ensure his skills are cutting-edge. He has been a fellow of several leading surgical societies, including the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, the international Wrist Arthroscopy Society, and the British Orthopaedic Association. As a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Dan is highly respected in his field.

Having been through a serious car accident and sustaining multiple fractures himself, Mr. Shaerf has first-hand knowledge of what it is like to be on the receiving end of orthopaedic surgery. This gives him a unique understanding and insight into the experience of his patients.

When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, keeping fit, and scuba diving.
