Dr Daniel Crespi is an experienced Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist at The Royal Free Hospital London. He sees children from newborn to 18 in Golders Green, London and Elstree in Hertfordshire. He offers parents rapid access to telephone and video consultations, as well as face-to-face appointments in some clinical situations.

Dr Crespi qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine, King’s College London in 2001. He subsequently trained in general paediatrics in London before specialising in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition. He has worked in several major paediatric gastroenterology and hepatology centres in London and Southampton.

Since 2011, Dr Crespi has been a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at the Centre for Paediatric Gastroenterology at the Royal Free Hospital in London. He has played a key role in developing the service with new style nurse-led and telephone clinics, clinical governance, and departmental guidelines. He currently sits on the Hospital Drugs and Therapeutics Committee.

Dr Crespi is also involved in teaching medical students at University College London (UCL) Medical School and was recently made an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor. His Kids Gastro Care clinics are usually in North London (Hampstead and Golders Green) and in Elstree, Hertfordshire.

He is a member of the British Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (BSPGHAN), the Gastrointestinal (GI) motility working group of BSPGHAN, the British Society of Gastroenterology, and the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Dr Crespi is actively involved in research in paediatric inflammatory bowel disease.
