Mr Daniel Wilby is a consultant urological surgeon with particular expertise in minimal access surgery and robotics. He is the Lead Clinician for Urological Cancers at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, where he has a specialist interest in the treatment and management of bladder, kidney, and prostate cancer.

In addition to his role at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Mr Wilby is part of the surgical team at the Harley Street Endometriosis Centre. Here, he specialises in laparoscopic (keyhole) and robotic surgery for the management of endometriosis affecting the urinary system.

Mr Wilby completed his surgical training in the Wessex region and has also worked at Guy’s Hospital in London. He further honed his skills by successfully undertaking a fellowship at University College London Hospital.

Mr Wilby is proficient in a wide range of procedures and treatments, including hydrocelectomy, prostatectomy (TURP), robotic cystectomy, circumcision, PSA testing, transurethral resection of a bladder tumour (TURBT), vasectomy (male sterilization), ureteroscopy, prostate biopsy, orchidectomy, laparoscopic surgery, partial cystectomy, and ureteric reimplantation. He is also experienced in treating conditions such as benign prostate hyperplasia, blood in urine (haematuria), overactive bladder, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and performing reconstructive surgery.

Appointed in his current role in 2010, Mr Wilby is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to his patients, utilising the latest advancements in urological surgery and robotics. His commitment to excellence and patient-centred care makes him a leading figure in his field.
