Mr Daoud Makki is a leading Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with HCA Healthcare at 31 Old Broad Street. He also holds an NHS post at West Hertfordshire Trust, where he serves as the Lead for the Enhanced Recovery Programme. Mr Makki has extensive experience in all areas of orthopaedic surgery, with specialist expertise in sports medicine and shoulder and elbow surgery.

Mr Makki is highly skilled in performing diagnostic arthroscopies, open shoulder and elbow surgery, shoulder stabilisation, rotator cuff repair, and upper limb trauma repair. He qualified with a Medical Degree from the Lebanese University Medical School in 2001 and completed his basic surgical training in the East of England Deanery. Impressively, he was awarded a Gold Medal for his graduation thesis during his MD studies.

Furthering his speciality, Mr Makki trained at the Wrightington Upper Limb Unit and completed a Fellowship in shoulder surgery in Manchester. He also holds a Science Degree in Biology and a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Mr Makki remains actively involved in research and has been widely published throughout his career, including contributing a chapter on shoulder arthroplasty in a medical textbook. He has presented his research internationally, establishing a global reputation.
