Frequently asked questions
Why do you do what you do?
I specialise in joint replacement surgery. I have been interested in this throughout my training and practice because it has the ability to change patients’ lives for the better. The results are excellent and enable people to regain the quality of life and activities that they desire. Seeing patients get back to normal is the ultimate reward.
What are the common symptoms that your patients tend to present with?
Patients commonly present to me with pain in the hip and groin. These are either older patients with pain that limits their movement, or younger patients with sporting injuries.
What are the treatments that you're able to offer your patients?
I am able to offer cutting edge modern keyhole surgery treatment for sports injuries and impingement problems in the hip as well as rapid recovery minimally invasive hip replacement. I am also extremely interested in the management of knee arthritis and particularly, failed hip and knee replacement requiring revision (re-do) surgery.
What are your areas of sub-specialist interest?
I am particularly interested in arthroscopic surgery (keyhole surgery) of the hip and rapid recovery hip and knee replacement surgery.
