Mr Dimitrios Moschonas is a highly esteemed urological specialist at Royal Surrey Hospital. He earned his MD from the University of Patras in 2003 and subsequently completed a PhD at the University of Athens. Mr Moschonas has undergone extensive sub-specialty training in urological oncology and was awarded a fellowship in robotic pelvic uro-oncology at Royal Surrey Hospital.

As a key member of the pelvic uro-oncology team, Mr Moschonas serves as the robotic urology fellowship coordinator. He is an expert in robotic surgery for prostate and bladder cancer and is proficient in treating a wide range of general urology issues, including pediatric foreskin problems, benign prostate hyperplasia, and kidney stones. He has introduced innovative procedures such as Rezum for benign prostate hyperplasia and transperineal prostate biopsies under anaesthetic. He also offers fusion-guided targeted prostate biopsies to enhance prostate cancer diagnostics.

Mr Moschonas's research focuses on novel biomarkers in prostate and bladder cancer, and he is actively involved in national trials of robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy. His work has been widely published in leading urological and oncological journals. He is a member of several professional organisations, including the British Association of Urological Surgeons and the European Association of Urology.
