Dr Ee Ling Heng is a consultant cardiologist specialising in adult congenital heart disease and structural interventions at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. She graduated from Imperial College London, earning an intercalated BSc in Healthcare Management. Dr Heng was awarded a British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Training Fellowship and completed her PhD investigating improved outcome prediction in tetralogy of Fallot.

After completing her specialist cardiology training with the London Deanery, Dr Heng pursued an adult congenital and structural interventional fellowship at Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network, Canada.

Dr Heng's clinical expertise encompasses adult congenital heart disease and general cardiology, with a special interest in structural and adult congenital heart disease interventional procedures. She is proficient in performing complex percutaneous valvular interventions, including MitraClip, TriClip, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), patent foramen ovale (PFO) and atrial septal defect (ASD) closures, as well as percutaneous mitral and tricuspid valve replacements.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Heng has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Circulation, Heart, and the International Journal of Cardiology. She has authored several book chapters, including contributions to the Oxford Handbook of Cardiology. Dr Heng serves as an associate editor for the International Journal of Cardiology Congenital Heart Disease and reviews for several peer-reviewed cardiology journals.

Dr Heng is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. She has been part of the faculty for numerous courses, including MitraClip Centre of Excellence sessions, Royal Brompton Hospital percutaneous ASD closure courses, and multimodality imaging in adult congenital heart disease.
