Dr Faisal Ali is an award-winning Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatological Surgeon, specialising in all aspects of medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He is currently practising at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London.

Dr Ali graduated with a Double First in pre-clinical medicine from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, and completed his clinical studies at Christ Church, University of Oxford. Following his junior medical training in London, he undertook dermatology training in Manchester, where he was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in dermatology. He is listed on the GMC Specialist Register. Dr Ali further honed his skills by completing a dermatological surgery fellowship at the St Johns Institute of Dermatology, which included Mohs micrographic surgery and laser dermatology. He also received the British Cosmetic Dermatology fellowship to study skin pigmentation disorders at the National Skin Centre in Singapore.

Dr Ali has a diverse research background, holding a PhD from the University of Cambridge. He has authored over 170 academic publications and delivered more than 50 presentations at national and international conferences. His work has been featured in renowned journals, and he has received multiple awards, including the prestigious BMJ Dermatology of the Year in 2018.

Dr Ali’s areas of expertise include lesion removal, Mohs surgery, skin tag and mole checks, and mole removal. He is proficient in photodynamic therapy and treats a wide range of conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, hair and nail diseases, and various forms of skin cancer including basal cell carcinoma, actinic keratosis, melanoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. He also addresses cosmetic concerns like acne, rosacea, redness, hyperhidrosis, seborrhoeic keratosis, cysts, warts, milia, hair loss, melasma, pigmentation, vitiligo, and hyperpigmentation.
