Mr Florian Bast is a fully licensed and highly experienced Consultant Ears, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon with specialist expertise in facial plastic surgery and rhinology. Mr Bast holds a substantive consultant post in London, at the prestigious Guys' and St Thomas' Hospital.

After obtaining his license to practise medicine at Ruprecht Karl University of Heidelberg in Germany in 2006, Mr Bast undertook specialist training at a number of leading medical centres around the world, including the New York University (NYU) Langone in New York City, USA, the University of Sydney in Australia, as well as the University of Zurich in Switzerland. His higher surgical training was completed at the University of Berlin and the University of Heidelberg in Germany. In 2011, he was granted the German Board Certification as Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Mr Bast completed the highly distinguished fellowship in craniofacial and facial-plastic surgery at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London in 2014, and, in 2015, was accredited with the German Board Certification for Sub-specialisation in Facial Aesthetic and Reconstructive Operations.

Mr Bast's specialist areas of interest are predominantly in rhinology and facial plastic surgery, which comprise treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis including balloon sinuplasty, functional and aesthetic septo-rhinoplasties, as well as surgical treatment for obstructive sleep apnoea and snoring problems. He also has a wealth of experience with dermal fillers and other cosmetic injectables and is widely acknowledged as one of the leading surgeons in the UK in performing the complex procedure of endoscopic balloon dilatation of the eustachian tube.

Outside of the clinic, Mr Bast is committed to research and education in his field of expertise. He has published widely in a number of leading medical journals and is an editorial reviewer of major scientific articles focused on Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery. In addition, he is often invited to speak at national and international conferences and is the Founder and Director of ‘The Aesthetic and Functional Use of Cosmetic Injectables Course for Doctors’, which is held twice a year in Berlin, Germany.
