Dr Florian Bast is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon based in London, specialising in rhinology, nasal surgery and facial plastic surgery. He has over 20 years of experience and holds a substantive consultant position at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital.

Dr Bast qualified in medicine at the University of Heidelberg in Germany and completed advanced specialist training across internationally recognised centres, including New York University, the University of Sydney and the University of Zurich. He later completed higher surgical training in Germany and achieved board certification in otorhinolaryngology, head and neck surgery, followed by subspecialisation in facial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.

His clinical expertise focuses on rhinology and facial plastic surgery, including the management of chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal obstruction and sinus disease. He performs a wide range of procedures such as septoplasty, septorhinoplasty, rhinoplasty and balloon sinuplasty, as well as surgery for snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea.

Dr Bast also has extensive experience in cosmetic and reconstructive facial procedures, including the use of dermal fillers and other non-surgical treatments. He is recognised for his expertise in advanced techniques such as endoscopic balloon dilatation of the eustachian tube.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Bast is actively involved in research and education. He has published widely in leading medical journals, contributes as a reviewer for scientific publications and regularly presents at national and international conferences in ENT and facial plastic surgery.
