Dr Gaity Ahmad is a Consultant Gynecologist and Obstetrician. She also has extensive experience in general gynaecology and specialist training in minimal access surgery.

Dr Ahmad is able to offer laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures for a wide range of benign gynaecological conditions including menstrual disorders, ovarian cysts, fibroid, endometriosis, adhesiolysis for pelvic pain and subfertility and prolapse surgery.

She is a member of the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy and has obtained Masters in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy from the University of Surrey. In addition, she has a keen interest in research and has more than 20 peer reviewed publications including a written chapter in a book. She was also invited by the Scientific Advisory committee of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist to write an evidence based article on "The use of Adhesion Prevention Agents in Obstetrics and Gynaecology".

Dr Ahmad is also a trainer for advance laparoscopic surgery and leads the Pennine endometriosis and minimal access services (gynaecology) for the Trust.
