Dr Gayatri Mittal is a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital NHS Trust and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at University College London. She specialises in rheumatology, with a keen interest in early inflammatory arthritis, early inflammatory back pain, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthropathies, gout, hypermobility, osteoarthritis, connective tissue diseases, systemic autoimmune diseases, and soft-tissue, regional, and bone disorders.

Dr Mittal graduated from Mumbai University, India, in 1988 with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at Mumbai University in 1994. In 2004, she attained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians, London, and later completed a PhD at Queen Mary University of London in 2013.

Dr Mittal holds several professional memberships and affiliations, including the British Society of Rheumatology and the Indian Society of Rheumatology. In 2016, she received a Clinical Excellence Award for her outstanding contribution to the NHS Trust.

Her expertise extends to various medical tests and treatments, including joint injections, and she is proficient in managing conditions such as gout, joint pain, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
