Dr Guy Burkill has been a Consultant Radiologist since 2001. Consultant appointment followed fellowship training in cancer imaging at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London.

He has a breadth of cancer imaging experience being a member of many cancer management teams including Haematological, Lung, Lower Gastrointestinal, and Head and Neck. He has written book chapters on imaging in skin and gynaecological malignancy.

Dr Burkill has undertaken many hundreds of biopsies for cancer diagnosis and regular audit shows high pick-up rates with complications well below the nationally recommended standards.

On arrival in Brighton, he set up a discrepancy audit system encouraging the identification, recording and learning from errors made in reporting of diagnostic imaging tests.
