Mr Haresh Devalia is a fully accredited breast and oncoplastic surgeon, listed on the General Medical Council's (GMC) Specialist Register. With extensive experience in the treatment of breast cancer and cosmetic breast surgery, Mr Devalia has introduced the advanced technique of local perforator-based flap surgery (LICAP, MICAP) to patients in Kent and London.

This innovative technique allows for breast conservation even in cases of large cancers, where traditionally, mastectomy and complex breast reconstruction with a long recovery period would have been the only options. LICAP and MICAP enable patients to avoid mastectomy, retain normal breast tissue, and benefit from a quick recovery with minimal hospital stay. In addition to his work in breast cancer, Mr Devalia specialises in revising complex breast cosmetic procedures and enhancing aesthetic breast appearance.

Mr Devalia began his higher surgical training in the Oxford Deanery and continued as a specialist registrar in the London Deanery. He trained at several prestigious hospitals, including St George's Hospital (London), Ashford & St Peter’s Hospital (Chertsey), and the Royal Surrey County Hospital (Guildford). He also served as a senior registrar in the oncoplastic breast unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital (Sutton).

Upon completing his training, Mr Devalia was appointed as a Locum Consultant at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He then secured a substantive appointment at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust as a Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon.

Mr Devalia has published extensively as a senior author in medical journals on the clinical management of breast cancer and surgical techniques. His exemplary work has earned him the award of 'Best Oncoplastic and Aesthetic Breast Surgeon - England'. Additionally, he was recognised as the ‘Best Student at National Level in General Surgery’ (August 1997) and awarded a Gold Medal in the final examination for the Diploma of National Board, India.
