Mr Ivo Dukic is a consultant urological surgeon based in Birmingham, specialising in endourology and general urology.

Dr Dukic was appointed consultant urological surgeon in 2015 and joined University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust in 2021. He also maintains private clinics at The Priory Hospital, The Harborne Hospital (HCA Healthcare), Circle Health and Stourside Hospital.

He treats a wide range of urological conditions including kidney and ureteric stones, upper urinary tract cancers, benign prostate enlargement, erectile dysfunction, haematuria, urinary tract infections, bladder cancer, foreskin issues, testicular and scrotal disorders and paediatric urology.

Dr Dukic performs a variety of procedures including ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy, flexible and rigid cystoscopy, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), bladder tumour resection (TURBT), hydrocelectomy, circumcision, vasectomy and paediatric operations such as orchidopexy.

He is educational lead for urology at Heartlands, Solihull and Good Hope Hospitals and supervises foundation doctors, core trainees and registrars. He serves on the FRCS Urol MCQ panel, is faculty for the National Urology Bootcamp and acts as sub-editor for the Digital Review section of Urology News since 2013.

He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons, European Association of Urology, British Medical Association and Medical Defence Union.

His interests include championing quality, safety and research through healthcare technology and informatics, with numerous publications in peer?reviewed journals. He is fluent in English and Bosnian .
